At Turlock Mosquito Abatement District, we utilize an Integrated Vector Management (IVM) approach to control mosquito populations and reduce their threat as vectors in a timely manner. Integrated Vector Management is based on scientifically established procedures coupled with an environmentally sensitive approach. Effective IVM begins with an assessment of the mosquito population and the various factors influencing their development. The best strategies for control are then implemented to minimize their theat.
